A Down Payment of 33% is required to reserve your spot in our work schedule.
We do not begin cutting and sewing your suit until we have received at least 75% of your total.
We do not ship out fursuits until we have 100% of the payments in. No exceptions.
You may schedule payments with us of at least $200 per month. If you need to reschedule a payment please contact us as soon as possible so we can work with you on this. If you fail to make payments in excess of 4 months with no contact we will assume you no longer want the costume.
Down-payments, and any other payments are NON-REFUNDABLE. All fursuits are custom-built, and are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
Buyer understands that Partials and Full Suits can be hard to wear! They can be bulky, claustrophobic, are always hot, and have less visibility than normal eyesight. We ask that you take care of yourself when in suit. Take breaks, and drink plenty of water. Many people like to have handlers when navigating unfamiliar territory.
We are not responsible for any injury you may incur while in your suit, including, but not limited to heat stroke, falls, panic due to claustrophobia.
Buyer must provide accurate Ref Sheet to receive a quote.
Buyer must provide accurate Duct Tape Dummy (DTD) for full suits, shoe size, and measurements as listing in our Order Process. Failure to submit these by the time you’ve paid 75% of your total can extend your due date.
Buyer is responsible for proper care of their fursuit, which is to include:
- Picking up head properly, not by ears or nose.
- Brushing regularly.
- Spray suit components after use with isoproyl alchol and water spray to prevent bacterial growth.
- Wash as needed – don’t let the stink build up.
- Avoid getting eyes wet.
- Avoid mud, wine, and anything else known to leave a stain.
- When sending any suit components back for repairs make sure they have just been freshly laundered. We will not accept bad smells or extreme dirt in for repair.
Turn Around Time
If you are able to pay all upfront, or within 2 months you are eligible for a due date of 2- 3 months from the point of purchase/first payment. Please let us know if you have a specific event in mind ahead of time.
On average your suit gets done in 1-2 months after you’ve paid 75% of the total.
Please don’t ask us to make a suit in less than 3 months. We want the time to make sure we can provide you with a quality product.
If for any reason we think we may fall behind on your order we will contact you immediately.
Front Page Queue
The front page queue represents the projects we are currently working on. Your suit enters the Queue on the front page once you’ve paid 75% of the total. We do not list people on payment plans that have yet to hit the 75% mark on the front page. This keeps the front page from being bogged-down should we have a number of people on payment plans.
For example: If we had 3 people on payment plans, all under 75%, then the queue would be filled and appear that we cannot take on a new project. However, if each of these people were months away from hitting the 75% mark then we could use said months to fill orders for others that can pay faster. Hence, restricting the queue to what we are currently working on is a better reflection of our availability.
If your suit arrives with any fitting issues, or is defective in some way please contact lemonbrat right away to arrange for an adjustment. If we are in error we are responsible for paying shipping both ways.
Your fursuit has a 3 month warranty from date of arrival to you, the buyer. This covers repairs on rips, popped seams, sizing adjustments, and adhesion failure. If damage occurs please contact us immediately to arrange for the fix. Buyer pays shipping to seller, and seller pays shipping back to buyer.
Warranty does not cover damage incurred from misuse, or rough-housing in suit. Nor does it cover sizing issues due to buyer taking incorrect measurements or providing a subpar DTD. Making adjustments to the suit yourself can void the warranty.
After 3 month Warranty is up you may contact us any time you need a repair. We will assess the damage and charge accordingly based on estimated hours to fix problem. Buyer to pay shipping both ways.
Please expect your suit to go through normal wear and tear. If you take proper care of your fursuit it will last years. But, as with any article of clothing there will be a point of no return, and the life of your suit or suit component will be over. If you ever need replacement items please contact us, and we can quote you for individual items. Please be aware that we can make no guarantee on matching fabrics exactly years later as even the same color of fabric from the same manufacturer can vary slightly with each new dye lot they produce.
We insure packages for the full value of the suit, and require signature confirmation for your safety.
Please be aware that customers are responsible for all shipping charges and any customs charges they may incur.
For shipping outside the USA: The country you live in reserves the right to charge a customs fee on any imported items. Customs charges can be as much as 1/3 the total cost of the item depending on the country. You may check with your country’s post for more specifics.
We insure all our packages the full value of the items when shipping. If we were to insure the package for a lower value so as to avoid high customs charges then your suit would not be covered from damage during transit or missing packages. We would not be responsible if it arrived damaged or missing.
For Full Suits we require you to send us a Duct Tape Dummy of your own body so we may custom fit the suit to your body.
For lower-half suits/pants/faun legs we highly recommend sending us a Duct Tape Dummy of your lower half. We do no guarantee a perfect fit without one. For this we recommend you extend the tape up to just below your chest/bust to be safe.
Aside from a DTD we require other measurements as stated below:
- The horizontal measurement around your head.
- The measurement from top of forehead to bottom of chin, down the center of your face.
- Your shoe size. If you are sometimes in-between sizes (or have wide feet) go with the larger size just to be safe.
- A hand-turkey, just like you used to make in kindergarden (seriously! It’s so we know your glove size)
